did a 30 minute instrumental performance at nomad boohouse on friday - tried out a new one i am working on...did not read withing my performance time - it was a slower than normal night, due to a festival going on in town... more people arrived around 9:00pm and i stayed and read a few excerpts from my writing/poetry preview collection...thank you to bridget for asking me perform... nice bookstore centered in downtown jackson - has a small stage area and their own pa system - a cafe and couches and tables that surround you for listening... i am working on the upload for re~verb - making sure it works for everyone 0 this iwll be up soon... another new bookstore is selling copies of ~ pages ~... park road books in charlotte, north carolina has copies of my collection - see the locations page...
chicago is my next performance - yes i am nervous to playing the blues city... it’s kind of like buying a concert ticket and finally being able to see the show...

the track listing for my forthcoming ep - projection in artistry ~ window preview ~ is now up in music on the cd & audio page... re~verb will be available to listen to and download soon... this is a rough, rough version from my performance at the urban mill cafe... completely un-edited and un-mixed by any programs - just the way i recorded at this event... i was going to wait and make it more software/listner friendly - i wanted to get something up for you to hear...

i found out friday that my solo performance has been changed to a shared stage at nomad bookhouse for this friday 04 august... i will be doing a 30 minute performance of a few songs from my forthcoming ep and reading a few excerpts from my writing/poetry preview collection to introduce my work in the jackson area... thank you to bridget at nomad bookhouse for featuring my collection... see locations section... i also booked another date at the plymouth coffee bean for 30 september at 9:00pm - no cost... i am working on finishing my ep and would like to be done by the end of august...

played the plymouth coffee bean friday - nice night - just sat and played for about 70 minutes... will be playng there again in september - date will be up soon... my writing/poetry preview collection is now available at liberty books & news in columbus, ohio... this is a store that features newspapers from around the world, and available to order... i may be visiting them in september for a reading...
i will be doing a reading/signing and music performance in downtown jackson, michigan next friday at 8:00-9:00pm for a new bookstore that will be featuring my writing/poetry preview collection - nomad bookstore in downtown jackson...
i am excited about playing chicago - nothing like playing in a “blues city” - some amazing blues artists...

23 june, 2006 - urban mill cafe - lots to say - great place - great acoustics - really nice people... thank you so much to bonnie for booking me and everyone that works there... this is a cafe located next to van andel arena in the heart of downtown grand rapids... they have everything that could want in a cafe - even right down to the billie holiday and jimi hendrix murial pictures on the wall that i forgot to take a picture of ... the urban mill sits right on the river - i could have sat there for hours and just taken everythng in... i played for sixty minutes in a sole music instrumental cafe performance that was supposed to last 30-40 minutes... the acoustics were so good - i just kept going... thank you to the people that came in and listened - it was a good night to play... a beautiful day to travel... good food also - i look forward to playing it again... no voal peices this performance out... music on my site soon...

looking forward to playing in downtown grand rapids this week - or as my family calls it “gr”... i am working on a second upload version of two songs i put down on cd a month ago, and did not like th eaufio... call me a perfectionist - its just the way i like it to sit... even if it has just one song on it - i will upload this so you can finally have something to listen too... i will be creating a seperate website for the discussion board - this will be up by the end of summer... it will have a link from this site... i am back at the plymouth coffee bean on 21 july... see some of you in grand rapids friday... any good stores on 28th street???

yes it is the re-vised site ~ tried to publish on thursday - had a technical problemin the upload... music is on its way - promise... by the end of this month - have to wait for the cd transfer before i can upload my songs... i will be doing an hour of music at the bourgeois pig cafe in chicago - thank you so much to mason the owner for booking me into chicago - i am really excited to be playing in chicago - this will be my first time in chicago, so if anyone has any blues bar tips or helpful information to get me around the city - i welcome all emails... there is a “random entry” page - please visit from time to timeas i will be posting - my random stuff (writing, music, something i saw/want to share)...

confirming my chicago date for late summer... will be doing a 60 minute music performance in the heart of downtown chicago - will post the date soon... still working to get the recorded track up - will be on the updated revised website that should be up in the next two weeks... sorry for the delay... working on getting the ep done also... my next performance should be all music with my writing/poetry collection available to buy at performances... $0.50 from each copy is still being donated to help the people of the hurricane...

thank you to the plymouth coffee bean for letting me sit in a few peices of my music last night... i will be setting up a chicago summer date shortly... finishing up the updated and re-vised website... discussion board may be a bit longer - would like to use an ezboard - you can visit my “myspace” and request to be my friend for the moment... i sent more copies of ~ pages ~ to schuler books & music on 28th street... they are available in the michigan author section... bringing copies with me when i play the urban mill cafe on 23 june... thank you to bonnie at the urban mill cafe for booking my show... i should be uploading my music soon... it’s a “rough cut” in the core version...

cafe verde was a silent performance... being a small shop they do not allow microphones - my poetry attempts to read were a small success - music was not working - unfotunately i able to give the performance i hhad worked on... hopefully the next time i can work around this... Really nice people... look for me at some open mics in between other shows - i will let you know when i go to one... i will be doinga chicago datessometime during the summer or early fall... two of my songs from the ep will be up in the next two weeks... thank you to the schoolcraft college connection for putting my small show information in their “what’s the buzz” column - ann arbor news “spotlight” edition, and ann arbor’s 107fm for the brief radio spots...

will be doing another date at the coffe bean in plymouth... it will be a one hour event of reading & music on friday 21 april from 8:00-9:00pm... if you are around the cafe after 01 april you should see my flyers posted... if anyone asks and they tell tell you they do not know abou it - email me so i can make sure everyone behind the counter has the same information... all of the people there are really nice... they have a great open mic (sound is kind of loud for the room - well run - the host does an amazing job - has been running it for a while)... one of the few places where you can get a good coffee and just hang out...
too some of my flyers over to cafe verde for my 01 april show on friday - another nice place to hang out and listen to some music and artistry... for those of you who eat organic - they have a nice market attached to the cafe... you should start seeing my flyers up there in the next week or two... my newphew chris does the organic thing - visits there for his stuff... you may see his photo on “my space” - he was also in a band called “i the magician”, you can check them out on myspace... last year i wrote him an intro peice of music for his band - he is now with another band - i may be going into the studio with him to record this for his upcoming music... will let you know...

went to lansing/east lansing (home of the spartans) yesterday to post some flyers... learning my way around that place of green... went to a 24 beaners on grand river ave - kept thinking - if i lived in the apartments across the street i would be in there every morning at 2:00am saying “ just put a peice of chocolate in a cup and i will inhale it through nose”... nice community... it’s amazing how since i have been visiting all of these places - each one has it own character - like visiting your aunts house... thank you to everyone at the beaners for helping me get familiar...

had some computer problems for the last four days - felt like fred flinstone was holding my hand... unable to update...
was in town at the cmu campus on friday - a great hip hop scene goin on across from the libarry - (whoever you guys were - you were good)... students everywhere - helpful, friendly students... visited the cafe across from sbx and posted a flyer for the sigining event... thank you to the girls for being so nice to me... thank you to the people of cmu... i was accepted at cmu - cmu was my first choice if i had finished my degree after writing... looking forward to the signing... see you tommorrow mount pleasant...
